Write Here Write Now Associates may provide some or all of the following services:
Coaching
We charge per hour and bill in tenths of an hour for all the time we
put into your project (for example, reading your manuscript, preparing
comments, editing, writing an e-mail to you or talking with you on the
phone or in person).
Alternately, we can set up a lump, in-advance monthly schedule.
Writing Coaching includes:
Three 30-minute coaching sessions.
Our review of twenty-five written pages (due by the 15th of the month and discussed at your third session).
E-mails and short phone calls in-between as needed.
As your writing coach, a WHWN Associate will support you in:
Developing a writing schedule that works for you.
Creating a plan for putting your ideas on paper.
Organizing your ideas.
Overcoming writer's block.
Completing your manuscript/project!
Editing your work.
Writing a book proposal that sells.
Finding writing resources.
WHWN's
mentoring and coaching services give you customized, one-on-one
telephone and e-mail access to an Associate. This is an exclusive
reserved time for you and your coach to talk about any aspect of your
writing projects. WHWN offers you encouragement, brainstorming
through plot development, feedback or critiques on your manuscript,
inspiration to keep on track, and guidance and instructions for how to
successfully write, sell or market your work.
What's the difference between a mentor and a coach?
A mentor instructs, guides and gently leads you to bring about the story you want to tell. S/he shows you the ropes, shortcuts and positive paths to getting your ideas down on paper, and then encourages you to keep going until you write, "The End."
A coach is someone who helps you follow a structured plan or course of action and helps you strategize a plan and structured path for pursuing your literary goals.
How can you benefit from hiring a WHWN writing mentor and coach?
First, your Associate consults with you to determine where your writing project is in development. Then you and your Associate determine the best course of action that fits into your schedule. After that, you will decide which coaching price package you can afford and then we get to work.
WHWN can answer all your writing, marketing and publishing questions as you work through and complete each phase of your book.
Bottom line? You set a timeline for how long you want to work with us so you can write your book or screenplay. It's that simple. Hire an Associate for an hour, or hire an Associate to walk beside you for three months.
Our Promise To You
WHWN
is responsive to each client's needs, which we uncover in the coaching
and mentoring partnership. Each Associate does whatever is
necessary to help you reach your project's completion and goal.
If, after your first session, you decide that our coaching partnership
is not what you want or need, WHWN will refund your money, 100%, no
questions asked.
Straight Editing
WHWN's
comprehensive editing services include not only such nuts-and-bolts
tools as punctuation, sentence structure, and grammar, but also more
in-depth attention to devices such as plot and character development,
the use of active vs. passive voice, redundancies and/or
repetitions. Services will include text restructuring and the
possible relocation of sentences or paragraphs to polish your prose for
clarity and precision. A detailed commentary letter with
suggestions and further notes will be included along with the reviewing
notes on the actual text.
